Seen and Unseen: Patterns of Light

SEWICKLEY, Pa.- Come visit Gallery -30- at the Sewickley Herald Office this July and August to experience Seen and Unseen: Patterns of Light! This exhibit of oils and pastels by Judy Mattei will display light as it falls on form...the landscape, the figure and other objects. The magic of following light as it appears and disappears and the energy that it produces as the psyche becomes a passionate journey to tell that tale.

Judy Mattei is a Pittsburgh area artist who has exhibited locally and nationally and received many awards for her work. She attended Duquesne University with a background in health care and worked in that field for many years while pursuing her passion. Judy studied painting with Philip Salvato for over 15 years as well as many other instructors. She has taught at Sweetwater Center for the Arts for 16 years and is a member of Associated Artists of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Society of Artists and the South Hills Art League.
