Children will learn the basic movements and techniques in tap, ballet and jazz in a fun and encouraging environment.  Tap and ballet shoes are required.

This class is ideal for the budding, young artist who would like to continue to learn and grow in their experiences in the fine arts.  After carefully looking at the childhood artworks of several prominent artists, preschoolers will have the opportunity to draw, paint and sculpt many original artworks derived from their own creativity and playful imagination.  Materials fee is included in the tuition.

Learn about the use of pastels and Fauvism, an early 20th century artistic movement that emphasized bold colors and thick outlines. Making merry in Mexico includes a number of colorful and fun filled traditions!  The Christmas season begins with Las Posadas, nine days of candlelit processions and parties that begin on December 16, followed by a reenactment of the Nativity story and the smashing of a piñata. Learn about the holiday traditions of Mexico, create colorful art and have a festive time with your friends.

HOLIDAY ORNAMENTS IN CLAY

Brighten your home during the holiday season with hand-made, one-of-a-kind ornaments! In the first class, students will use cookie cutters and other techniques (all fun winter shapes like snowmen, presents, and Christmas trees!) to form their ornaments in clay.  The second class allows students the chance to decorate their creation, through use of under-glazes, surface treatments, and acrylic paint finishes. The ornaments make perfect gifts or home decorations that can be used year after year!  Materials fee is included in the tuition.
