BLACK & WHITE PHOTOGRAPHY: OPEN STUDIO

Ages 16 & up
Love the darkroom but can’t seem to find the time to come in on your own? This is the perfect class for you. This eight week class is your excuse to get back into the darkroom. There’s no specific curriculum beyond producing a final portfolio of black and white work at the end of the class. Each week will be an open lab session with plenty of one-on-one time with the instructor, allowing you to cover the material of your choice.
Material fee is covered in the tuition and covers the cost of chemicals used during class time only (film and paper not included). There will be additional hourly charges for time spent in the darkroom outside of class. Students should have some darkroom experience, and should bring a 35mm camera to the first class.

INTRODUCTION TO DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Ages 16 & up
Explore digital photography beginning with an overview of exposure, white balance and choosing the best image resolution. We will also discuss approaches to creative lighting and composition as well as techniques for basic image editing. Bring a digital camera with you to class.
