SPRING 2017 JEWELRY CLASSES


Metalsmithing TC01 Ages 18+
Students will be taught basic metal forming techniques, as well as stone setting and design. Two projects will be completed: first, a simple hammered cuff bracelet with a stone setting; then a more intricate bracelet of the artist's own design. The class will be able to study several of the instructor's own pieces, some of which have won recognition for unique design quality. Students will be taught how to order metal on the first day of class.

Even Count Peyote Bracelet TC04 Ages 18+
Students will learn the very popular even-weave peyote stitch while making their very own beautiful and practical peyote bracelet. Using four millimeter beads, the peyote bracelet is easy to visualize and stitch. You will want to add this popular bead weaving pattern to your bead weaving repertoire. Materials fee is included in tuition.

Crystal Bezelled Rivoli Pendant TC05 Ages 18+
Join professional jewelry designer Jeanne Shuff as she offers her most popular workshop. Come with your enthusiasm and creativity and leave with your own pendant! Students will learn to weave a beautiful pendant by encasing a Swaroski crystal rivoli with two different sizes of Swarovski crystals. There is no needle work required and the project will be finished in class. Materials fee is included in tuition.

Beaded Jewelry Fundamentals TC06 Ages 18+
Join us for this intensive two-week class covering beaded earrings, necklaces, and bracelets on wire foundations. Students will design their jewelry with a variety of materials including stone, pearls, and metals which will be finished with creative and distinctive clasps and findings. Learn the essentials of beaded Jewelry and finish with instruction on crimping, sizing, proportion and color coordination. All the skills you need to create those memorable wearable works of art! Tools will be provided. Beads, findings, clasps, wire and all other materials will be available for purchase on site.
