Family Cooking Class: In My Mother's Kitchen
Sewickley, PA ... In My Mother's Kitchen for ages 3 - 6 (with an adult) to be held at Sweetwater Center for the Arts for 3 Thursdays April 14-28, 2011, 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. Children of all ages love to cook. Sharing time together in the kitchen fosters great memories, laughter and is the perfect quiet time. This course offers all of those things and more. Children who cook with their parents choose a healthier diet and are more likely to expand their food preferences. Preschoolers, with the assistance of their parents, will learn the proper way to set a table, learn about measurements, read a recipe and finally, create a culinary masterpiece with good memories to last a lifetime! During this 3 week session, the menu will be designed around the 3 daily meals; breakfast, lunch and dinner. Materials fee is included in the tuition. This class is $80 for Sweetwater members and $100 for non-members. Tuition includes one adult and one child only. Please do not bring infant and/or toddler siblings with you to class.. Due to the nature of this class, Sweetwater is unable to accommodate food allergies/dietary restrictions.
To register for classes, call 412-741-4405. Check out www.SweetwaterArtCenter.org for a complete listing of classes and workshops.
