Group Piano Lessons for Adults

SEWICKLEY, Pa.- If you have ever wished you had learned to play the piano as a child or ever wished your mother had not let you quit, then Sweetwater Center for the Arts has the perfect class for you. Recreational Music Making is a pressure free class for ages 18 and up. Classes run February 3 - March 10, 2011 for 6 Thursdays from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. This small class setting will help you become familiar with the keyboard, reading rhythmic and melodic music notation and the joy of creating music. Solo playing will be based on a volunteer basis. Students should have access to a piano or full sized, touch sensitive keyboard in order to practice outside of class. Information on rental instruments is available. Music books will be purchased from the instructor on the first day of class. This class is $125 for members and $150 for non-members.

            For the past 35 years, Sweetwater has worked towards enriching the lives of children and adults in the communities it serves by providing excellence in arts education and cultural programming.
