Urban Nature:
Artwork by Erin Shaw

July and August
Erin Shaw is a Sweetwater instructor and artist concentrating on painting, drawing and printmaking. Urban Nature reveals the struggle she experiences trying to balance the excitement and opportunities of city living with her love for nature. Shaw's work consists of a varied collection of paintings and prints that both relate and make contrasts between these two seemingly opposite environments. Ranging from precious, intimate studies to large-scale impressions, the works reflect her desire to find the forms and beauty of nature in the cities of Washington, DC, Los Angeles and Pittsburgh.
Artist Reception:

Firday, July 11, 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.
