NOW HIRING:   EDUCATION COORDINATOR (FULL-TIME)

Sweetwater Center for the Arts, a non-profit art center located in Sewickley, is now hiring a full-time Education Coordinator.  Primary responsibilities include the development, coordination and evaluation of Sweetwater’s educational programming, including children’s and adult classes; recruits, hires, supervises instructors and ceramics technician; oversees the production of  quarterly class catalog and coordinates publication with graphic designer and printer; assists with marketing Sweetwater’s educational programming; maintains awareness of current trends in arts education;  calculates costs and maintains budgets; orders supplies and equipment; monitors, documents and communicates enrollments, cancellations, and schedules; administers and reviews course evaluations.

Qualifications: Applicant must be detail-oriented, organized and possess strong interpersonal skills, the ability to multi-task and have basic computer knowledge (MS Office knowledge required).  Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to think creatively are essential to this position.

Education:  Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and training is required. Arts education, arts management or arts-related degree is preferred.

Schedule:  Monday-Friday; 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; additional hours may be required.

NOW HIRING:   ADMINISTRATIVE & OUTREACH COORDINATOR (FULL-TIME)

Sweetwater Center for the Arts, a non-profit art center located in Sewickley, is now hiring a full-time Administrative & Outreach Coordinator.  Primary administrative responsibilities include maintaining a presence at the front desk, providing excellent customer service, fielding telephone calls, receiving and directing customers with a positive attitude, assisting instructors, filing and data entry.  Primary outreach responsibilities include the development, promotion, implementation and evaluation of Sweetwater’s outreach programs including contracted/paid outreach and grant-funded outreach programs.

Qualifications: Applicant must be detail-oriented, organized and possess strong interpersonal skills, the ability to multi-task and have basic computer knowledge (MS Office knowledge required).

Now Hiring: Part-Time Graphic Designer

Sweetwater Center for the Arts, a non-profit art center located in Sewickley, is now hiring a part-time Graphic Designer.   As Sweetwater’s Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for the creation and production of professional marketing collateral materials.  This includes, but is not limited to promotional publications, brochures, direct mail, signage and all other print and digital media (all copy will be provided).  Applicant must be detail-oriented, responsible, organized, and must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to multi-task.  Hours range from 15-20 hrs/week.  Shifts are flexible but will require working Thursday evenings.

Requirements:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or other related field (students graduating in May 2014 will be considered).

·         In-depth knowledge of Adobe Design Software, specifically:   Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Dreamweaver.

·         Working knowledge of HTML and CSS is preferred.

·         Sets priorities and manages multiple projects.

·         Familiarity with email marketing is preferred.

Culinary Instructors (applications accepted on a rolling basis)

Sweetwater seeks culinary instructors to teach adult and children's cooking classes during the weekdays and evenings and some Saturdays.  Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in culinary arts or an associate's degree in culinary arts or related field.  Previous teaching experience is preferred but not required.  Applicants applying to teach childrens classes must have Act 151, 34 & 114 Clearances.  Please send a cover letter, resume including two professional references & class proposals.
