Beaver Station

Beaver Station is located at 250 East End Ave, Beaver PA 15009.

Over three years ago, the Sweetwater Center for the Arts Board (SCA) entered into an informal agreement with the Beaver Area Heritage Foundation (BAHF) to expand SCA offerings in the Beaver County area. This SCA “satellite campus” will offer an introductory variety of classes hosted at BAHF’s 3 acre Cultural and Heritage campus in Beaver, PA. Beginning in January 2016, SCA will offer a wide variety of their most popular programming ranging from pre-school, teen to adult in areas including water colors, drawing, preschool clay and children’s art sampler to teen improv. comedy. As local response dictates, programming will be expanded to include other popular SCA course offerings. Classes will be held in BAHF’s recently renovated national historic district designated former P&LE Passenger Station renamed “Beaver Station”. Over $2.5 million was raised to purchase and make badly needed repairs and complete the transition of the threatened and deteriorating 8,500 square foot building into a cultural and event center with landscaped trackside courtyard and event lawn. This multipurpose meeting and event space is available to rent for corporate training, non-profit fundraisers and cultural and entertainment programming or family gatherings such as wedding receptions. The campus also includes BAHF’s national award-winning local history museum in a restored RR freight station and an authentically reconstructed circa 1810 log home.
