Sweetwater Lecture Series Presents Art Collecting 101

SEWICKLEY, Pa.-Prominent art collectors and professionals in the Pittsburgh area will share the basics of collecting contemporary art. They will discuss how they began and why, what they collect and which contemporary artist they find of interest now. Join us on April 27, 2011 from 7:00-8:30pm as we unpack the exciting process of beginning an art collection and the rewards of building upon an existing one. Moderator: Ingrid LaFleur Whitehead, Director, Sewickley Arts Initiative and Program Director of HOMEWOOD Artist Residency, a program of The Andy Warhol Museum. Light hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be served. Members price $5, Non-members $10.
